JustFab has launched a new service with personal styling. I love JustFab for their shoes, but I’ve never ordered any clothes from them. I’m pretty picky about where I get my clothes and usually stick to companies that I know have clothes to fit my 6’2″ frame. PS by JustFab is similar to Stitch Fix. I’ve never tried Stitch Fix because I always thought the clothes were a little overpriced. I am a bargain shopper and try to never pay full price for anything.
I have been a JustFab VIP member for about 6 months now and have gotten some fabulous deals on shoes. Anybody that knows me, knows that I have way too many pair of shoes. I just recently donated about 60 pairs to charity, but in my defense, a few pairs weren’t mine and some I’d had for nearly twenty years. 🙂
JustFab sent me invite to join the new PS by JustFab service. When you sign up, you fill out an extensive style survey about your tastes, height, sizes, etc. They show you some examples of clothes and styles and you choose your favorites. I even uploaded a head to toe picture from a cruise I took a few years ago. Once completed, your survey is sent off for you to be matched with your personal stylist. I was paired up with Whitney.
Whitney looked like she could pick out some fun styles, and she did. I mentioned to her that that was going to be going on a cruise later in the year and that I would like some cute dresses and maybe a cover-up. Before they send out your package, you get to veto some of the items and opt for others. I only vetoed a peplum top, because I think my hips are too big to pull that off anymore. Maybe when I was in my twenties and stick thin? You are kept in the loop about every step in the process, and it all happens very fast. I registered on Sunday, my package shipped on Thursday, and I received it the following Thursday. PS by JustFab gives you 8 days from the day you receive your package to try on your clothes and decide what you would like to keep. I love that you get to do this from the comfort of your own home.
Whitney picked out a top, a swim cover-up, a sweater, a dress, and a pair of denim capris.
Everything was packaged very nicely. They include a pricing sheet, a prepaid return label, and a plastic shipping bag for any returns or exchanges.
When you sign up for the service, you are charged a $20 styling fee, but it is credited back to you for any purchases that you make whether PS by JustFab or JustFab. As you can see, the prices are fairly reasonable. You also receive 20% off if you keep everything. Let’s get on to the items Whitney picked out for me, shall we?
The first item was a swim cover-up. I really wanted to love this, but it was just a little short for my comfort. It had just the right amount of coverage and the sleeves could be tied. This would have been perfect for my cruise if I was a few inches shorter.
The next item was this ivory lightweight sweater with 3/4 sleeves. I almost kept this, but I am not a huge fan of white or ivory. I did like how it was longer in the back and just the right length in the front.
The next item was this maxi dress. I really liked the pattern, the fabric, and the length. However, I hate garments that cut me across the chest like this. I’ve had open heart surgery and I find it irritating. I would take any other neck style over this one. Back it goes!
Next, was this adorable lightweight and flowy top. I am a sucker for navy blue, and I love the detailing. I had to get my daughter’s opinion on this one because I wasn’t sure if I was too old to pull it off. She thought it was fantastic and wanted to steal it. 🙂 It is open in the back and I don’t think you’ll see me where it without a cami underneath, but I will wear it.
I didn’t take a picture of the crops, but they were a lightweight, light colored denim and looked almost exactly like a pair that I have from American Eagle, so I returned them.
When you are done trying on your clothes, you complete an online checkout. There you can choose what to keep, exchange for a different size, or return. It will give you a total with your credits and you checkout and pay before you return your items. Whatever items you are returning or exchanging go in the plastic shipping bag, then you place the prepaid label on it and drop it at you local post office.
All in all, I really like this service. I like that you don’t have to commit and you can order a box whenever you want. I only kept the navy tank and with the $20 styling credit it cost me $4.95. Not too shabby! It’s also good to note, that if you don’t keep any items, your $20 styling fee can be applied to anything on the JustFab site. I think I might order a box every now and then and I find it to be a good deal.
Will you try out the PS by JustFab service?
